Triethylamine (TEATEATEA) is a colorless liquid with a strong ammonia or fish-like odor. It's used in many industries, including chemical, textile, and pharmaceutical.  Uses 

• Catalyst: Used in the curing of epoxy and polyurethane systems
• Neutralization agent: Used to neutralize anionic stabilized waterborne resins
• Proton scavenger: Used in the synthesis of organic compounds
• Base: Used to prepare esters and amides from acyl chlorides
• Wetting agent: Used to wet, penetrate, and waterproof quaternary ammonia compounds
• Emulsifying agent: Used to emulsify dyes

Diethanolamine (DEA) is a chemical with many uses, including in cosmetics, detergents, and as a corrosion inhibitor. Uses

• Cosmetics: DEA is used in moisturizers, sunscreens, soaps, shampoos, and cleansers to make them creamy or sudsy. It also acts as a pH adjuster. 
• Detergents: DEA is used in detergents, cleaners, and polishers. 
• Metalworking: DEA is used in metal-cutting fluids and oils, as a corrosion inhibitor, and for metal cleaning and lubricating. 
• Agricultural chemicals: DEA is used as a dispersant in agricultural chemical formulations, weed killers, and photographic emulsions. 
• Pharmaceuticals: DEA is used as an intermediate in the production of pharmaceuticals. 
• Concrete: DEA is used in concrete admixtures and cement grinding aids. 
• Gas treatment: DEA is used in gas sweetening and natural gas treatment. 
• Urethane foam: DEA is used as a catalyst in urethane foam manufacturing. 

DEA can be a white, crystalline solid or a colorless to yellow, syrupy liquid with a mild ammonia-like odor. 

Nonylphenol (NP) is used in a variety of industrial and consumer products, including detergents, emulsifiers, and plastics. It is also used in the production of nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs), which are nonionic surfactants with similar uses. Uses

• Detergents: Nonylphenol and NPEs are used in laundry and dish detergents 
• Emulsifiers: Nonylphenol is used as an emulsifier in agricultural teat dips 
• Plastics: Nonylphenol is used in the production of plastics, including PVC and HIPS 
• Paints: NPEs are used in latex paints 
• Pesticides: NPEs are used in pesticides and biocides 
• Personal care products: NPEs are used in personal hygiene products 
• Lubricating oil additives: Nonylphenol is used as an additive in lubricating oils 
• Antioxidants: Nonylphenol is used to produce antioxidants, such as tris(4-nonyl-phenyl) phosphite (TNPP) 
• Heat stabilizers: Barium and calcium salts of nonylphenol are used as heat stabilizers in PVC 

Environmental concerns

• Nonylphenol and NPEs are toxic to aquatic life 
• Nonylphenol can act as an endocrine disruptor and xenoestrogen, mimicking the natural hormone 17β-estradiol
